Moving, Family & time with Nikki and Cole (NC-KY-NC)/Photo Album:1

[]After shooting from Asheville like a hermaphroditic bat out of hell with two heads and four wings, Michele and I found ourselves on the road to Kentcky to visit my family for a few days. As usual it was a whirlwind visit with wonderful (& free) dinners and interesting conversation with my eccentric (surprised?) family. I think I'm finally starting to become comfortable with how my family operates as a group, for sure so many intense personalities can make for interesting dynamics. From Kentucky we drove to Murphy NC to have a stint at the John C. Campbell Folk School (www.folkschool.com), a very cool place with lots of interesting things going on. Our first 2 weeks we have been staying with friends Nikki and Cole not far from the school. The pictures are from a hike we took with them near their home. Our first week we took a writing class together (though Michele was much more excited about her knitting project-A LACE GLOVE!!-go Michele!). This second week I am spending too much time on the free internet brought to us by the Rural Internet Access Authority of NC (no kidding) and preparing for our travels abroad. Michele is taking a very cool silk painting class and discovering color and form anew. Later this week I'll be backpacking for a few days to get some internal Hermit time, and next week Michele teaches her pottery class. Michele's class, 'Notice what you Notice; wonderment and uncertainty', proves to be very interesting, with only 2 students so far and myself enrolled it will be a very open and hands on class, we're both very excited. Looking forward we are both very excited about everything, and we anticipate many joyful adventures.
